The Ridge is our new youth camp created exclusively for 9th-12th grade campers! Located right outside of Columbus, Texas, the Ridge is where high school campers can unplug from technology and high school stress, be influenced by our Jesus-loving, fun-obsessed summer staff, and plug into seriously fun activities!
Just a few of our awesome new activities include a state-of-the-art wakeboard park, a slick track, and a giant water slide. The Ridge offers something for every camper! Sometimes one week of camp just isn't enough—that's where our two-week camp sessions come in! These incredible programs give campers a unique and exclusive experience of extra time with their favorite activities and counselors, all of the seriously fun theme nights, and additional special events designed specifically for our two-week campers. The counselors and staff at Pine Cove have a simple goal: to help kids and families connect with Jesus. Through intentional conversations, Bible studies, and worship, our staff will share the life-changing power of the Gospel with your camper and show that a relationship with the Lord can be exciting, interactive, and impactful.
The Ridge is conveniently located just off Highway 71 in the middle of central Texas. Positioned just 70 miles from Houston, 80 miles from Austin, and 120 miles from San Antonio, the Ridge is ideally suited to serve campers from a wide variety of nearby cities.
Looking for an excuse for your child to have some time away from phones, tablets, and other distractions? Pine Cove is a "phone-free" camp–including our staff! So instead of turning to social media, text messages, or other outside voices, they'll be able to focus on building connections with new friends, learning about the truth of the Gospel, and being mentored by our Jesus-loving college staffers. Conor "Flow" Barry joined Pine Cove full-staff in 2016 after working his first two summers at the Woods and graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in English Literature. He has previously served as the Men's Director at the Towers before becoming the Ridge Director. He and his wife, Ali, have a cat named Penny.
Kate “Dingo Baby On The Beat” Blocker spent three summers at the Shores before joining the Pine Cove full-time staff in 2022 as the Women’s Director and now Associate Director at the Ridge. Kate is from the DFW area but spent four years in Austin at the University of Texas where she graduated with a degree in Math and English.
Colin “Sneaky Pete” Post joined Pine Cove full-time staff in 2023 as the Ridge Men’s Director after completing the Forge. His time with Pine Cove started on summer staff at the Woods from 2018-2022. Colin graduated from Texas Christian University in 2022 with a degree in Journalism.
Emma “Mellow” Kyzar serves as the Administrative Director of the Ridge. She graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Communications and worked for two summers on summer staff at the Outback before joining the full-time team at the Ridge in 2022!
