As we get ready to open the gates and welcome campers for our 54th summer, there is much to be thankful for—and also a ton to pray for! We invite you to join us in covering Pine Cove, our campers, and our staff in prayer as we embark on another summer of being used by God to transform lives for His purposes and His glory. Grab your prayer journal, take a screenshot, or stop now and pray, because here are a few ways you can lift up Pine Cove in prayer as we head into the summer.
-
- Our Staff
Pray that every member of the Pine Cove staff would be filled with wisdom and discernment from the Lord. Pray that they would serve and lead with humility, and that they’d jump into their roles with excitement and excellence. Pray for energy, fortitude, and strength. Pray that the Fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—would be the hallmarks of their demeanor this summer. Pray that they carry out the will of the Father and care for our campers well!
- Our Campers
Pray that our campers would have fun at camp! Pray that they would have soft, teachable hearts, and that God would open their ears to the Truth. We know some campers are coming to Pine Cove carrying big hurts, so pray that they would leave feeling seen, heard, and loved, and most importantly knowing Christ. Pray that they are inspired to walk intimately with Jesus.
- Health and Safety
Join us as we pray against sickness and injury. Pray that all campers and staff would stay well all summer long, and that no illness or infirmity would make its way through our gates. Please pray for activity safety, from ropes to boats to horses to everything in between! Pray for God’s hand of protection over everyone on Pine Cove property.
- The Gospel
Pray that our staff would communicate the Good News clearly and effectively! Pray that many campers would be saved, or would recommit their lives to Christ. Pray that God would use our staff, our program, our facilities, and everything we have to bring glory and honor to Him. Pray that He would move mightily in the lives of campers, counselors, staffers, parents, and friends. Pray that His will would be done!
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
